poem

A while ago I wrote a poem.
I showed it to mom and she typed, framed, and decorated it.
It was called
Snowflake Ballet.
This is how it went.

Snowflake Ballet

Snowflakes fly
Snowflakes play
Snowflakes dance a snow ballet.
With dresses of ice
And shoes of glass
They twirl, thy flutter,
The dance all day.
Snowflakes fly
Snowflakes play
Snowflakes dance a snow ballet.

art center

This is my art center.
I can hang up my pictures
and most importantly,
I can find stuff.
I love it.
I think that Kenzie (my niece) does to.
It's a LITTLE messier now than it was then BUT it definitely helps!
It is so easy to find stuff now.
Well gotta go!

MY YELLOW JACKET AFFAIR

This summer mom took me to MK's house so we could play. We played for a while and then MK decided to show me her favorite tree. We went and climbed the tree. All of a sudden, there were Yellow Jackets all over my feat! It scared me really bad and I started to cry. Then a Yellow Jacket climbed in my shoe. You bet I kicked that shoe off!

After that I said, "MK get out and get your mom!" She climbed out a really skinny branch and ran to get her mom. During this episode, I prayed and prayed and prayed. When her mom got there she said for me to climb out of the tree.

When I was finally out I was shaking like a leaf in the wind. The best thing was that not one of those Yellow Jackets stung me. I am positive that my prayers saved me. MK's mom thought for sure that I would have to go to the hospital.

I am so thankful that God protected me. Since then I am terribly afraid of any thing with a stinger.

HORSEBACK RIDING

Recently my mom took me to MK's house for riding lessons.
So I went with Miss Loletta to go get Lincoln.

After that, I brushed Lincoln and
then Miss Loletta saddled him.

I led Lincoln down to the round pen, and
Miss Loletta taught me some things,
then onto Lincoln's back I went.
After I got the feel of it, I did pretty good.
It felt so nice to be on a horse again.

When it was over, we took Lincoln
and put him in the pasture.
It was a wonderful way to end the day.

Earlier that day mom found their baby
with a feed bag around her neck.
Their baby is the cutest baby I've ever seen.

BUG COLLECTING

For science we have to collect 50 bugs.
That's a lot of bugs!

I recently read Girl of Limberlost.
It is a great book about a girl, Elnora,
who catches moths for a living.
Now mom is always calling me Elnora.

I really don't like pinning bugs but it has to be done.
I just hope I can get 50 bugs.
Well, we'll see.

Special Saturday

Last Saturday my mom took me, my Indian friends,
and Merrylegs out for a special day together.

First we went to the Family Book Outlet.
Can you find Merrylegs the horse?

My Indian friends enjoy reading also.

Here we are looking for books.
Can you find my Indian friends?

Here we are at Fresh Produce.
Can you find my friends?

Now we are at Olive Garden.

Here are the books we were reading while we waited.

I like this book!
Can you find my friends in this picture?

Can you find one of my Indian friends?
The other one really did disappear.
We have no idea where she went!

Look! A lemon boat!
